The whole facility was very clean and comfortable and very Japanese. When you first enter the hotel, you take off your shoes and there are shoe lockers to lock up your shoes! Then the entire hotel is lined with tatami and you walk around with your own socks or they provide you with toe socks. The hotel is so clean! In the rooms, they offer what we “the onsen outfit” and a basket with clean towels and toe socks to bring to the onsen. The onsen has lockers to store your baskets! The onsens have all kinds of amenities, and shampoos and face creams, etc. after the onsen. You can cool off with ice cream and/or ice pops and a wonderful massage chair! There is also laundry facility which in wasn’t mentioned in the Booking.com site! The hotel is right next to the senso-Ji temple. Which, we enjoyed lots of amazing small eats and enjoyed walking around the temples at Day time and night time. For those with young adult kids, the Asakusa Uniqlo is about a 5 min walk! There is also the Friendly Airport Luxury Limo bus depot 5-10min walking distance! Very convenient location! Would definitely stay there again the next time I’m in Tokyo!

1- The location was wonderful/ right outside Senso-ji but also quiet at night. 2- the staff was so professional and courteous. They could answer all my questions and help with anything - baby bed, tattoo covers, luggage forwarding, Taxi calling, etc. 3- The amenities provided were all that we needed- towels, shampoo, soda, toothbrushes, hairbrush, pajamas, etc and water, yakult, ice cream, nightly half size ramen 4- I loved being able to walk around in socks and not worry about getting dirt on them from our shoes. It made the room floor much cleaner as well 5- this was our first onsen so there is not much of a comparison but the facility was very nice and had many bath options. 6- laundry (free washing, 100yen dryer). There are 4 washers and 4 dryers. I never had to wait for laundry. This was wonderful since we only brought a few pair of clothes each and my 4 month old had a blow out on the plane and we needed to do laundry the first night .

This hotel has a lot to offer if you plan to make use of the amenities. Staff was very helpful, even going so far to sort out a mistake from our luggage transfer to the airport when we'd input the wrong address for the hotel (as this spot is an annex of the main hotel). Rooms had good space and were comfortable. The tatami mats were well maintained and the facilities were clean. The breakfast buffet was good, mostly Japanese offerings with some Western options. They have late night noodle service which was a great way to get a dinner in for nights where we were out late. There is a manga corner with whole body massage chairs for use, which also has an area with free Yakult in the mornings and free ice cream in the evenings. The onsens were clean and orderly, and the open air space was delightful; I would just note that these are not tattoo friendly, but the front desk does offer tattoo coverups.

Onyado Nono hotels are an excellent choice! The traditional Japanese vibe and aesthetic make for a unique and memorable stay. The rooms are spacious (for Japan), offering plenty of storage space to keep things organized. They are also very quiet, with blackout blinds and a room air filter that adds to the comfort. The onsen is a standout feature. While the facility here is smaller than their Kyoto sister hotel, I actually preferred it due to the better range of options in the women’s facility, including a jet pool, cold plunge, sauna, and baths of varying temperatures. The beds are comfortable, leaning on the firmer side, and the pillows at this location were more comfortable than those in Kyoto. However, I will say that the coffee machine at the Kyoto location was better. Overall, I highly recommend Onyado Nono hotels for anyone seeking a blend of traditional atmosphere and modern amenities.

Great modern hotel in Asakusa! The location is perfect, with many restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is very clean, with tatami on every floor (you actually have to remove your shoes before entering). You open the room with a keycard – no physical keys. The room was clean and comfortable, had a/c and all the necessary amenities. The staff was polite and helpful. Also, there are free noodles 🍜 during dinner time and a reading room full of manga with two massage chairs. A special mention for the amazing onsen ♨️ available in the hotel. It’s very atmospheric, with wall pictures of Edo Period. The hot spring water is dark brown, almost black. There is one bigger and one smaller area, a cold and a hot bathtub and showers. Separate areas for men and women. Great hotel to stay if you like Asakusa!
